Having an issue with your piercing?

Let us help! We love helping piercing get back to healing.

Find some solutions to the most common piercing issues below.

  • Piercing bumps are formed generally from irritation. To get rid of them we need to find the cause of irritation (makeup, sleeping, headphones, tight clothing, etc…) once we find a solution they generally shrink quickly.

What not to do: don’t put anything other than sterile saline, ice, or clean water.

  • This is due to irritation, generally caused by either the jewellery moving too much, pressure on the piercing, low quality jewellery, or jewellery material.

One we see if the jewellery is suitable and doesn’t need to be changed and also reduce irritation sources this will settle down.

What to do: Ice it, take ibuprofen, get to your piercer.

What not to do: Apply any mixtures, touch it too much, try to remove jewellery on your own.

  • When the skin around the piercing sites (generally on surface piercings) turns a different colour (purple, dark, white) this is normally because the piercing is beginning to reject.

Once a piercing begins to reject it is best to have the. piercing removed to avoid significant scarring.
