Navel Piercing FAQ (Belly Button)

  • Q: Does everyone have the right anatomy for a Navel piercing?
    No,
the Navel piercing is highly anatomy-dependent. You need a pronounced upper 'lip' that remains visible when sitting. If your navel collapses or is too shallow, we may recommend a Floating Navel or no piercing at all to prevent rejection.

  • Q: How long does the Navel piercing take to heal?
Due to constant friction and movement, the Navel piercing is one of the longest to heal, taking 6 to 12 months.

  • Q: Can I wear high-waisted pants?
    No.
Avoid tight, high-waisted jeans, belts, or clothing that constantly rubs or puts pressure on the piercing, especially during the first 3 months.

  • Q: Can I go swimming?
    No.
You must avoid submerging the piercing in any public water (pools, hot tubs, ocean) for the entire healing period to avoid bacterial infection. Alternatively, you may cover it with a waterproof dressing.
