What is BVLA?
Body Vision Los Angeles has been making piercing jewellery since 1996. What separates BVLA from every other jewellery brand is the combination of material quality, craftsmanship precision, and the depth of design range: over 3,000 unique pieces, each made to order in solid gold.
BVLA is not sold in shops. It is not on Net-a-Porter. There is no online store, no resellers, no wholesale. The brand authorises studios around the world, and in New Zealand, Platinum Point holds the exclusive account: the largest curated BVLA range in the country, a direct relationship with the brand, and a piercer who has spent years selecting and fitting these pieces.
Every BVLA piece is made in their Los Angeles workshop by hand. Gemstones are hand-set. Quality checks happen at the factory before each piece ships. There is no offshore production, no plating, no shortcuts.

BVLA makes jewellery for almost every piercing placement. The collection is organised by piece type:
The decorative top that clicks onto a threadless post. The most popular BVLA category: flowers, chains, drops, charms, prong-set stones. Works with any 18g or 16g threadless post.
Seamless rings and hinged segment rings in a range of gauges. Suited to helix, daith, conch, septum, and nostril. Clean lines, subtle presence.
Curved barbells for daith, rook, and eyebrow placements. Straight barbells for industrial piercings. Often paired with BVLA end pieces for full customisation.
Internally threaded and threadless flat-back labret posts. The backbone of most ear curation builds: a flat disc inside, BVLA end piece outside.
Fine gold chains that connect two piercings: helix to lobe, conch to helix. A signature of curated ear styling. Added at a consultation once placements are healed.

Solid gold, always
Every BVLA piece is solid 14k or 18k gold. Solid gold through and through, the same used in fine jewellery you pass down through generations.
This matters for piercing because plated jewellery wears through over time, exposing base metals that can cause allergic reactions and infections. Solid gold has no base metal to expose.

Classic warm gold tone. 58.5% pure gold alloyed with silver and copper. The most popular choice at Platinum Point, warm against skin and complementary to most complexions.

Cool, silvery tone achieved by alloying with palladium or platinum. Rhodium-plated for brightness. Pairs well with diamond and white gemstones.

Diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, opals, rubies, and other stones. Each set by hand in LA. Prong, bezel, pavé, and flush settings depending on the design.

How to buy BVLA at Platinum Point
BVLA is fitted in-studio: pieces need to be sized and inserted by a trained piercer. Here's how it works.
Book a jewellery appointment at platinumpoint.nz/book. Select "jewellery consultation" (no new piercing required). Appointments are 30 minutes.
In studio, you'll browse the full range of current BVLA stock. Thomas will help you identify pieces that work with your anatomy and existing piercings.
Once you've chosen a piece, your piercer checks the gauge, length, and fit. BVLA threadless ends require a compatible post; we can check or replace your existing post if needed.
The piece is inserted using sterile technique. You leave wearing your new BVLA, same day.

Can I buy BVLA online in NZ?
No. BVLA does not sell direct to consumers, online or otherwise. All BVLA is sold through authorised studios only. Anything sold as "BVLA" on TradeMe, eBay, or independent websites is either unofficial stock or counterfeit. If you want genuine BVLA in NZ, Platinum Point is NZ's only exclusive BVLA studio.
How much does BVLA jewellery cost in NZ?
BVLA pieces at Platinum Point start from around $250 NZD for simpler end pieces. Stone-set and diamond pieces range from approximately $380 to $1,200+ depending on the design. All prices include NZ GST. Fitting into an existing healed piercing is included in the appointment.
Do I need a new piercing to buy BVLA?
No. You can come in to upgrade existing healed piercings to BVLA. No new piercing required. We'll select pieces that work with your anatomy, size and fit them correctly, and insert them using sterile technique.
Is BVLA real solid gold?
Yes. All BVLA is solid 14 karat gold, either yellow or white. It is never plated, filled, or coated. Solid 14k gold is biocompatible, tarnish-resistant, and appropriate for use in both fresh and healed piercings.
How do I book a BVLA appointment?
